Styrian spermidine collaboration

The spermidine team takes off

Estyria is delighted to announce the first steps towards a new and important partnership involving collaboration between the Steirerkraft brand and the care home provider Gepflegt Wohnen Gruppe.

Variety, quality and enjoyment are on the menu in all the homes run by the Gepflegt Wohnen Gruppe – in the form of spermidine-rich food that is freshly cooked every day. And, as we know, Styrian foods – especially pumpkin seeds – are particularly valuable in the kitchen on account of their spermidine content. Steirerkraft and Gepflegt Wohnen are together laying the foundations for their joint work and taking a first step by handing over some Styrian foods.

Cooperation between Steirerkraft and Gepflegt Wohnen

In this short video, Estyria’s CEO Wolfgang Wachmann and Gepflegt Wohnen’s director Aribert Wendzel explain what it’s about and how the cooperation arose:

Further information about the collaboration and more about the findings of the Gepflegt Wohnen study are available in Steirerkraft News, where we have already reported on it.

Estyria expands its expert network

Estyria has further plans to strengthen communication between experts and is expanding its network with regard to nutrition issues. The Estyria nutrition forum that has been created for this purpose combines information exchange and networking with experts from the food and nutrition sector.

The magazine “Abenteuer Altern” recently featured an interview with CEO Wolfgang Wachmann.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process

While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
