We don’t just meet standards, we set them. Our current score of 98.7 % on the International Featured Standard for food (IFS Food) is the highest ever achieved. Unannounced certification audits regularly give us top marks and confirm the full traceability of our products from field to table. Behind all this is our ten-person quality assurance team.

Our panel of highly skilled sensory experts tests all our products; the result is the taste profile that has resulted in our seed oil winning more awards than any other. The traditional stamp press process, the open roasting pan and the experience of our oil millers are key factors in our success. The optimum roasting time that gets the best out of the seed is repeatedly re-assessed by hand. We avoid all use of filters that would impair the quality of the product.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process

While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
