Estyria at the 2023 Biofach trade fair

Steirerkraft and MUTTER NATUR at the BIOFACH trade fair in Nuremberg

The Biofach trade fair is one of Europe’s foremost events for organic food products and sustainability. This year, more than 3500 exhibitors from 93 countries attended the fair. We were also on the scene to showcase our Steirerkraft and MUTTER NATUR brands and present our products to an international audience.

Visitors from all around the world showed great interest in our products and were impressed by their high quality and great taste. Estyria was thus able to present itself as a reliable, quality-conscious partner for the retail and restaurant industries.


 

At the trade fair, Steirerkraft and MUTTER NATUR were also able to display their commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. We’re involved in a number of projects that promote organic farming and protect nature in Styria. Visitors to our stand responded very positively to this commitment and noted the positive contribution we’re making not only to preserve our planet, but also to protect our regional identity.

Overall, the Biofach trade fair proved to be a great success for Estyria, underscoring as it did the significance of sustainability and quality in the food industry.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process

While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
