Organic soya
Exclusively from Estyria: organic soya from beans grown in Austria
Most of the world’s soya beans come from the USA, Brazil or Argentina. Beans from these sources are justifiably criticised on the grounds of the clear-felling of forests that is often involved, the long transport routes and the poor traceability of the goods.
Estyria has therefore successfully encouraged the cultivation of organic soya in Austria and entered into an exclusive agreement with Soja Austria.
Estyria’s organic soya from Austria is available in chunks, granules or cutlets; it is of course GMO-free and free of chemical residues. Other advantages of regionally grown organic soya are the short transport routes and guaranteed traceability of the goods back to the farmer.
Austrian soya from controlled organic and sustainable farming is a high-quality alternative to meat that can be used in a wide variety of ways in vegetarian and vegan cooking. For example, it can be made into a delicious curry with a high fibre and protein content on account of the soya.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process
While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
