Steirerkraft Rezepte Rockerin 2020

New Recipe Rocker 2020

Lisa Büchsenmeister is the new Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker 2020.

All it needs is some Steirerkraft …

… to turn something ordinary into something quite special. This is the motto of the Steirerkraft Recipe Rockers who breathe new life into Styrian cooking with their “Nouvöl Cuisine”. Steirerkraft products are the basic ingredients of the innovative and creative recipes conjured up by these young cooks.

Following the official handover of office at this year’s Steirerball at the Vienna Hofburg on 10 January, Lisa Büchsenmeister is now ready for the off as the newly elected Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker 2020.

Lisa Büchsenmeister

Lisa brings new zing to Styrian cooking; at 22, she is already pulling out all the culinary stops. With a great deal of flair, she uses the fine taste notes of Styrian pumpkin seed oil PGI from Steirerkraft to compose very special delights – delicacies that truly call for an encore. Lisa also creates wonderful compositions from scarlet runner beans and polenta.

A new cooking video in which she introduces her delicious and creative recipes will appear at www.steirerkraft.com each month. At the end of 2020, the twelve tasty dishes will be joined by eight other exclusive recipes. The recipes will all be published in the Steirerkraft cookery book Nouvöl Cuisine Part Seven and will be Lisa’s legacy as Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker.

Styrian partners

This year we are delighted to have two cooperation partners on board to support the Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker.

Lisa has been dressed from head to toe in cooperation with Trachtenmode Hiebaum, who can provide everything from dirndl to lederhosen. Her look proves that a contemporary take on the traditional Styrian costume doesn’t have to involve the usual dirndl. To go with her black top, Lisa wears a specially made costume skirt in red, demonstrating her bold use of colour. A costume hat completes her styling as Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker and ensures that her appearance at events like the Steirerball at the Vienna Hofburg will be eye-catching.

This year the Steirerkraft Recipe Rocker will prepare the dishes in her cooking videos in a high-quality modern kitchen by Olina Küchen in Graz, who offer personal planning, advice and installation of high-quality kitchens – from modern to farmhouse style. For Lisa, Olina kitchens provide the perfect space and a beautiful setting in which to cook up her recipes in an entertaining cooking video.

Incidentally, Lisa’s first recipe is coming soon – a typical Styrian cream soup made with the Styrian wine, Schilcher.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process

While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
