Steirerkraft packaging relaunch 2019
marketing offensive 2019
In September 2019 we are launching a marketing offensive for our Steirerkraft premium line. As a first step, all Steirerkraft products – with the exception of Steirerkraft Premium Pumpkin Seed Oil – will receive new packaging distinguished by the following features:
- new premium design for the printed stand-up pouch and for the cans
- emphasis on regional, GMO-free and vegan brand values
- pleasant new haptics
All Steirerkraft packaging will be changed to the new version by the end of 2019. For some articles the number of items per packaging unit will change. Information about the affected articles will be sent to you separately and in good time. For all Steirerkraft products, the filling quantities remain unchanged.
Our communication with end customers will in future emphasise two distinct features – in addition to the packaging – that enable our products to stand out:
Sustainability
Steirerkraft has partnered with the Austrian League for Nature Conservation Naturschutzbund Österreich to launch the “bee happy” project to protect wild bees. The multi-year action plan will set standards.
As part of our plastic reduction strategy, we are working with Dr Manfred Tacker, who specialises in sustainable resource management at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna. As an initial outcome of this scientific study, we shall stop using doy-style packaging.
Healthy eating
With researchers at the University of Graz we are studying the benefits of Steirerkraft products for a balanced diet. We shall publish the informative findings in September. Be prepared for some surprises!

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process
While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
