Regionally grown bean varieties, such as the organic red vario bean (a specially developed new variety), the organic borlotti bean and extruded organic soya grown in Austria stand out for their low food miles and guaranteed traceability of the raw goods. The MUTTER NATUR range is rounded off by organic popcorn maize from Styrian contract farmers, organic pumpkin seeds – chopped or ground – and aromatic organic pumpkin seed oil. Each product captures the knowledge, esteem and flavour of an entire region.

A completely new product: MUTTER NATUR organic Bohnellis. The gentle bite and nutty flavour of these little organic bean balls deliver an entirely new taste experience: organic Bohnellis – low in fat, with no added sugar and with only a hint of salt – make a snack that can be eaten with gusto and without a guilty conscience.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process

While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
