International visit to the Steirerkraft Kernothek
Steirerkraft Kernothek welcomed Chinese delegation
In October 2019 we welcomed to Austria a delegation from Jilin province – Styria’s partner region in China.
The group included representatives of business and industry, trade, agriculture and research. Among them were the top trade manager from the agricultural authority, the managing director of one of the most important oil companies, an agricultural expert, and company bosses and trade partners from the region.
The current export rate of 55% to 41 countries demonstrates the care that Estyria Naturprodukte GmbH puts into its international marketing activities and the way in which it has steadily built on its success. As was the case with this visit.
Two Estyria employees introduced the eight people in the Chinese group to the Steirerkraft Kernothek. The Steirerkraft Kernothek is our shop with demonstration oil mill in Wollsdorf, our main site in beautiful Styria. We often receive international visitors there – delegations from Japan, Taiwan and the USA have already been welcomed.

stamp press process
While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.Read more
