Steirerkraft popular on social media
It happened in March 2018 – the Steirerkraft brand expanded its social media presence; as well as being on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube it is now on Instagram.
Instagram has around two million active users in Austria and thus competes strongly with Facebook. Steirerkraft’s Instagram account regularly features tasty recipes involving pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, scarlet runner beans and the rest, together with up-to-the-minute pictures – for example of trade fairs or the Recipe Rocker video shoots. So if you like photos, install the Instagram app on your mobile phone or tablet and follow @steirerkraft.
The recently published video of pumpkin seed oil tasting was a particular hit with our fans. It showed tourists sampling vanilla ice cream with pumpkin seed oil in front of the Graz clock tower: some of the reactions of passers-by were highly entertaining, because many of them could not at first believe that this combination could taste so wonderful. You can watch the video here.

The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
