BIOFACH 2025 – a complete success
Innovative and right on trend
Biofach, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food, took place again in Nuremberg from February 11 to 14, 2025. Over 35,000 visitors from 140 countries came to find out about organic products from around 2,300 exhibitors from 94 countries. With an organic share of over 50 percent and existing partnerships with major retail chains such as Aldi, Hofer, Lidl, Spar, Rewe and Dennree, we were not to be missed as Europe’s largest pumpkin seed producer.
In addition to experience and top quality, we also rely on our comprehensive sustainability strategy. A look at the statistics confirms that we are right on trend with our organic and vegan products: in terms of both volume (+ 5.5%) and value (+ 3.7%), the organic market in Austria grew significantly in 2024 compared to the previous year. Organic food now accounts for 13% of all food purchases – a record high. The market is also growing again across Europe after a small decline in 2022, continuing the long-term trend. Spending on organic food more than doubled between 2014 and 2023.
We are delighted to be part of this development and look back on a successful trade fair participation.

Traditional Styrian
stamp press process
While modernity has brought progress in many areas, the traditional Styrian stamp press process is still the best way of making pumpkin seed oil. The main difference between this and other pressing methods is that we work with open roasting pans. At our plant, people check when the pumpkin seeds are perfectly roasted and so will yield the very best oil. This enables our experienced oil millers to produce the pumpkin seed oil that has won more prizes than any other – and which as a result of this type of pressing retains all the natural constituents. The untreated oil is not filtered; the particles that make it cloudy settle naturally when the oil is left to rest.
