Accessibility Statement

We, Estyria Naturprodukte GmbH (Steirerkraft brand), are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all associated services to the best of our ability. This statement provides information on our efforts to comply with the Austrian Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, BaFG), which implements EU Directive 2019/882. 01. Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the web accessibility guidelines pursuant to the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are continuously working to identify and remove existing barriers.

The website was rebuilt as part of a relaunch in 2026. Accessibility was a key criterion in the implementation; however, some areas do not yet fully meet the requirements.

In addition to editorial content, the website includes an online shop, a recipe section, product overviews with filter and search functions, video content, contact and newsletter forms, as well as features provided by WooCommerce and other third-party providers. With these external systems, we are partly dependent on the technical implementation, updates, and configuration options of the respective providers.

As part of an initial assessment, the homepage, main navigation, product and recipe overviews, the ordering process, embedded video content, overlays (newsletter, promotions), and consent-based third-party content were reviewed for typical barriers. Result: There are still areas requiring action (see Section 02), which we are addressing on a prioritized basis.

02. Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Certain content and functions of the website are not yet fully accessible. These include in particular:

Automatically playing video content that starts without active user interaction. This content does not yet consistently provide a visible play, pause, and stop control that can be operated via keyboard and assistive technologies. This particularly affects WCAG success criteria 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide), 1.4.2 (Audio Control), and 2.1.1 (Keyboard). We are working on a technical change so that in future, videos will only start after an active click or keyboard command on a clearly visible control element.
Moving content, sliders, and animated areas for which operability and pause functionality have not yet been fully implemented.
Video content for which subtitles, audio description, or text alternatives are not yet fully available.
Interactive filter, search, and results functions in the shop, product overviews, and recipe section, insofar as these are generated by WooCommerce or other third-party components.
Certain form fields, selection fields, status or error messages provided by WooCommerce, payment, shipping, cookie, form, or other third-party plugins, which are not in all cases fully optimized for screen readers or keyboard operation.
Certain images, product images, icons or decorative media on the English-language version of the website currently do not yet have alternative texts or accessible labels. These will be reviewed and added progressively.
Areas of the ordering, account, shopping cart, and checkout process, insofar as these are technically provided by WooCommerce, WooCommerce extensions, payment providers, shipping service providers, or other external services.
Embedded third-party content and services, such as maps, video platforms, cookie tools, social media content, or external analytics functions.
Areas containing essential text within images, e.g. headlines, claims, seasonal or promotional graphics, where the information is not, or not fully, available as programmatically determinable text.
Overlays, dialogs, and notification banners (e.g. newsletter sign-up, promotions), insofar as focus order, closing mechanisms, and keyboard operation still need to be improved.
Overlays such as product search or mini shopping cart, insofar as keyboard navigation, labels, and feedback for assistive technologies do not yet consistently meet the requirements.
We strive to reduce these barriers step by step within our sphere of influence. However, adjustments to WooCommerce and third-party components can only be made insofar as this is technically feasible, does not impair core functions of the web shop, and is supported by the respective provider.

b) Disproportionate burden
A complete and immediate revision of all existing content, media, PDF documents, and all functions provided by WooCommerce and third parties would currently constitute a disproportionate burden. We prioritize improvements based on relevance, frequency of use, and our technical sphere of influence.

Videos on YouTube: Some videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. It is not possible in all cases to provide the required audio descriptions or a text alternative (WCAG success criteria 1.2.3 Audio Description and 1.2.5 Media Alternative), which means that the spoken content is not fully available. As YouTube is a third-party platform outside our direct technical control, we consider a complete remediation to constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

Videos and audio content in general: For some recorded videos and audio files, the required audio description or a text alternative is missing (WCAG success criteria 1.2.3 and 1.2.5). In our assessment, a complete retroactive revision of the entire existing media library would constitute a disproportionate burden. Newly produced videos will gradually be provided with subtitles and/or text alternatives.

PDF documents: Our PDF documents (e.g. product information, data sheets, recipe downloads) are not consistently accessible. If you require a specific PDF from us that is not yet available in an accessible format, please let us know via our contact form or by email. We will then provide you with the content in an accessible form.

WooCommerce and third-party functions: The online shop uses WooCommerce as well as extensions for order processing, customer accounts, payment methods, shipping, cookie management, and other functions. These components are partly developed and updated by third-party providers. We have only limited influence over their source code, technical output, operating logic, and accessibility standards. We continuously review available settings and updates and implement improvements insofar as they lie within our sphere of influence.

c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
Live time-based media
Online maps and mapping services
Internal areas and external tools
External content such as social media feeds, YouTube videos, payment and shipping services, cookie tools, as well as other content and functions provided by third parties and not developed or controlled by Estyria Naturprodukte GmbH

03. Preparation of This Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 17 August 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment in accordance with WCAG 2.2. Key areas of the website were reviewed, in particular:

Contact and newsletter forms
Embedded video content and selected interactive elements
